Snowboard Knee Pads!

I usually stop on a slope and wait for people to catch me. Snow/ice knees make them very "crispy", I'm not sure gristles harden in the cold or something. Anyway, rather than working on a knee replacement, I opted for these pads (in addition to shorts for back protection). These rubbers are much thinner than hockey or skateboard rubbers and are soft. I tried them on a cold day with a very icy hard surface (artificial "snow"), they really work, my knees didn't feel cold at all on the ice surfaceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good padding but they leak on my shins in minutes.

The design of this just doesn't suit me. After walking or bending your knees several times, they begin to sag. I've tried tightening them and leaving them loose. No combination allowed them to stay around my knee. When they are in place, they are beautiful. I gave them 3 stars for the padding and construction. You can work for others. However, since they slid down, they were of little use to me. I actually found a pair that uses spandex to go to the calf. This helps the filling stay in placeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Love love love for Sports

I bought it in 2014 but didn't use it until last season because I bought it so late. It was definitely one of the best investments I've made since I started snowboarding. I used to come home with broken knees and bruises from constant falls, but this has saved me from all this pain. And as an added bonus, my knees don't get cold sitting on my lap waiting for my friends to catch up or buckle me up. On my calves I bought a little velcro, sewed it on and now they are perfect. Stats: Female 5ft 5in

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Damaged

Great knee pads for snowboarding. They have a low profile and easily fit into snowboard/ski pants. My favorite part is the extra padding on the side. this has saved me several times. Unfortunately, they tend to fall on me. I wear thermocompression pants (actually pantyhose) and put knee pads between those pantyhose and the snowboard pants. I ordered a large because I'm tall or XL and because of some injuries I had as a teenager I have particularly big knees. The knee portion of this thing isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Fits

But I never leave reviews.

... these knee pads really deserve it. Two weeks ago I went snowboarding for the first time. After trying - with some pretty hard falls - it was several days before I could walk normally again. I just went out with them a second time and the difference was HUGE. I can't stress this enough: HUGE. Of all the times I've fallen (and there have been many), the only real pain I've had in my knee was when someone actually bumped into me. This speaks especially for these pads as I am still treatingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • old

I could give that two stars, I could give that four. Two stars because after a day on the slopes, a quarter of each pad has gone paper thin from impact and pressure and hasn't "rebounded". I didn't pay what I paid for. . for pads to do this after a 7 hour session. (new here at 205lbs) I could give that four stars because I know they have really saved my knees from a lot of agony (I've spent a lot of time on my knees and also exposed them to the receiving end of a lot of high intensity punches).

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some flaws

Best Snow Knee Pads

Let's just say I'm VERY happy with their performance. I'll focus on the fact that the name says "black" but in fact they are gray. Besides, these things are PERFECT. They have a very low profile with a flexible but very protective knee pad. I told my snowboarding buddy that I buy knee pads to avoid serious knee injuries (after eating snow in the park all day you inevitably end up on your knee). I injured myself so badly that I can hardly walk for the next 2-3 days. He just laughed at me all day

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Only available in Black
