Review on 🏂 Optimized Snowboarding and Skiing Knee Pads: Triple Eight Undercover Snow by Steve Modesto

Let's just say I'm VERY happy with their performance. I'll focus on the fact that the name says "black" but in fact they are gray. Besides, these things are PERFECT. They have a very low profile with a flexible but very protective knee pad. I told my snowboarding buddy that I buy knee pads to avoid serious knee injuries (after eating snow in the park all day you inevitably end up on your knee). I injured myself so badly that I can hardly walk for the next 2-3 days. He just laughed at me all day even though you don't even realize I'm wearing them. I had the last laugh because at the end of my first day wearing it he hit his knee hard on the railing and complained for the rest of the day and all the way home. On the first day of use I can say that they have saved me from what is usually a pretty hard knock on the knee at least 4-5 times. Not only do they protect you if you fall, but they make it 100x better to sit strapped in on your lap and wait for a friend to catch up. I would highly recommend this to anyone with bad/weak knees looking for a fix or just wanting to avoid a silly injury. It might not be 100% useful (like a helmet), but if you crash-land you'll be glad you have it. *Update* This is my second year with pads showing little to no wear. Went about 20 times last season and three times in the 2013-2014 season. The Velcro still holds up well. They were paired with the Hillbilly Impact Shorts and I had literally not a day of injury last year (other than using my wrist to parry a punch a few times). My friends and I usually force ourselves to learn more tricks, so we keep falling. They don't use any pads at all and at the end of the day all you hear is complaints. I only ride in the park from 9am to 4pm with a 30m lunch break and my muscles are just sore from the actual footwork. Never get sick/injured from a hit. Again, for $30 if you ride more than a few times a year, it pays for itself in no time. Just the fact that I can sit 10 feet on my knees in totally freezing snow (Arizona weather for you) and not have a single complaint is amazing. Take her, Nuff said.
