Snowboard Knee Pads!

I usually stop on a slope and wait for people to catch me. Snow/ice knees make them very "crispy", I'm not sure gristles harden in the cold or something. Anyway, rather than working on a knee replacement, I opted for these pads (in addition to shorts for back protection). These rubbers are much thinner than hockey or skateboard rubbers and are soft. I tried them on a cold day with a very icy hard surface (artificial "snow"), they really work, my knees didn't feel cold at all on the ice surface and didn't crunch. I've tried falling on them a few times just to test them and they absorb shock very well.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
