I bought it in 2014 but didn't use it until last season because I bought it so late. It was definitely one of the best investments I've made since I started snowboarding. I used to come home with broken knees and bruises from constant falls, but this has saved me from all this pain. And as an added bonus, my knees don't get cold sitting on my lap waiting for my friends to catch up or buckle me up. On my calves I bought a little velcro, sewed it on and now they are perfect. Stats: Female 5ft 5in 158lbs Additional note: I've noticed that the padding is slow to contract so I may need to get a new set next year or two, but $30 every 2-3 years is still it worth upgrading 2017 (3 years later): I still love these knee pads but now I have to buy a new set, they have stretched and won't stay in place and I'm getting bruises on my knees again because the Upholstery has become so thin in places. I still think this is the best winter sports investment I've ever made! If you are thinking about buying them. Just do it, you won't regret it!
