The old saying applies here: good is seldom cheap and cheap is seldom good. The pilot bit will not snap into the mandrel (keyed into the socket - only fits with friction and comes loose randomly) and will not snap into the mandrel extension making it useless unless you need a 3/8 impact hammer bit. Accurate drilling is difficult unless you use a stationary press, hole gauge, or other specialized equipment. I have cut many different materials (from simple like wood and aluminum to technical like thick glass/ceramic, thick tempered steel and tungsten so I understand the skill required to make the tools work. That's 1 star I give can see the bits themselves might be ok, the one i used once seemed to work fine for cutting through a layer i drilled "on the fly" so a bit wanted to go around quite a bit (which is why the pilot bits are so useful, and the reason for the low rating.) If you have special gear (or want to make dirty holes and work twice as hard), I can see how this set can be useful. But for the average consumer who wants to make it a clean hole in the rock, you can look elsewhere.
