I replaced the oven and air conditioning last July but kept my old Aprilaire filter unit as it still worked well and I would buy a new one be a waste of money. However, when replacing a year old filter, I noticed that the fiberglass panels inside the filter housing were black as soot and wondered if a replacement could be purchased. A quick google search directed me to Revain and the dealers who stocked these replacement parts. They arrived quickly and I installed them without any problems. Best of all, I was able to fully vacuum the entire case and surrounding area within the metal duct attached to the Aprilaire unit. I'm glad I saw several "clumps" of objects and dirt that could affect the operation of the filter unit. Now that everything is fresh and new, I've been good for a number of years, but will replace them when the need arises. As always, the filter is changed once a year.
