Installation was easy. Use the appropriate tools to safely remove the old gasket and install the new gasket. Use a hard rubber mallet and do not scratch or dent the metal case. If there is a small scratch or dent, use fine sandpaper until the surface is smooth. Thoroughly clean the metal surface with a paper towel, clean the engine oil and apply grease to the outside of the gasket. The harmonic balancer must be removed with an approved puller and replaced with a new one. If the seal fails, the harmonic balancer is bound to be damaged and displaced. A slight misalignment at 3000 rpm will surely reduce performance and prematurely damage the seal. Install the Harmonic Balancer using the Balancer Installer, do not use the crankshaft bolt. If you don't have a tool - a harmonic balancer puller or a plumber - rent or borrow them. I went into the auto zone.
