Review on 🚲 Enhance Your Cycling Experience with the Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Duet Bicycle Bell by Carlos Abood

Quality Best in Cycling

I was torn between this and the Crane Riten brass bell. But Crane was (at the time of writing this review - June 2019) more than double the price of Mirrycle. Both use brass domes according to reviews, but the crane bell dome diameter was about twice that of the Mirrycle (2.25 inches versus 1.3 inches). With my bike, however, size does matter: I didn't want a large accessory hanging from my already crowded handlebars, and the Mirrycle's small size fits really well. I have it right next to my left hand so it's easily accessible for my left thumb. And then the sound: Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect from this product in terms of sound, fit and finish but I'm very happy with everything. The sound is really nice, but it's not possible to convey what I mean by "good" and I don't feel like posting a video. But I will say that for every movement of the thumb, the bell only chimes twice: once when I press my thumb: DING!, and once when I release my thumb: DING!. That's it: the dome doesn't have a multi-thump, so it doesn't make the rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrll99999988888888888 102 likes sound you can hear in a more traditional bike bell (pardon my limitations here in conveying what I mean about how it sounds I also I don't want a chime that uses a clip that can scratch the steering wheel or forces me to put on some sort of foil to prevent scratching, in my opinion anything that comes on a steering wheel set should be destined to NOT to scratch and of course it is NOT the buyer's responsibility to cover such a failure for the manufacturer (again my opinion) This product comes with a strong plastic mounting ring ie it sits perfectly where it is and doesn't damage the bike. An improvement I wanted this product to use a stainless steel screw on the mounting clamp ring instead of the non-stainless type used at the factory. Will change the standard screw to stainless steel the next time I visit the hardware store. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a quality product and is willing to pay a little more for it. Remember; The low quality bitterness lingers long after the low price sweetness is forgotten (I'm not sure who gets credit for that last line, but I didn't invent it, but it definitely makes sense to me. Be smart, be safe and have fun.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...
