This product is 'ok' but it does not work exactly as advertised. The TV ad says it can be washed in the dishwasher. According to the package instructions, this is not the case. Although it's non-stick and the top wipes easily, you'll have to spend a lot of time wiping between the grates and on the bare bottom to remove food debris. Cooks well enough for a home grill. I've experimented with several different products and overall the smoke was minimal. The grill didn't perform well on bone-in cuts of meat, but was great on shallower, boneless cuts as well as veggies. Be sure to season your food well, as unlike a charcoal grill, gas grill, or even cast iron cookware, this grill doesn't add extra flavor. UPDATE: Rating downgraded from 3 to 2 stars. I was trying to make one big pack of chicken thighs that would cover the entire grill. Temperatures have been found to vary widely, from a heating element that is barely sufficient to the rim of the grill being too cold to cook properly. I am also disappointed with the non-stick properties and the durability of the surface. It's advertised as being able to withstand metal utensils, but I managed to scrub the surface with a plastic brush to clean it.
