I did not like it, I do not advise buying.
I don’t know if it’s a marriage or if it’s intended by the manufacturer, but buying an additional amplification antenna for it is a waste of money in the above conditions. I had high hopes for this model because of the great idea of its functionality. Unfortunately, she did not live up to expectations. Money down the drain! Indeed, in this case, it will be more efficient to buy a cheaper, but cooler Giga model (today KN-1011) and plug a USB 4G modem into it. I bought for pensioners in the village, so I did not return the refund. I had to switch it to WiFi repeater mode :(
- Fault-tolerant, sufficiently productive router. It works out its functions with dignity, EXCEPT for one of the most important - characterizing this model (kn-2310) - a built-in 4G modem for SIM cards. About this - in the appropriate field.
- The built-in 4G modem for SIM cards on the Snapdragon X5 works unacceptably disgustingly. Namely, it practically DOES NOT catch signals from cell towers in direct line of sight at a distance of 1 to 2 km. Signal levels from Amazon (25001) and Beeline (25099) ranged from -95 to -80 dB. This is not acceptable despite the fact that at the same point, signals are perfectly caught by a regular Chinese USB 4G modem and all smartphones. And one more thing: it does not know how to control the Amazon 8920FT modem via USB: Software version: Mobile_Router_8920FT_V04 Hardware version: Mobile_Router_8920FT_M01
