This cable is a perfect replacement for a broken cable. I should mention that I tried the 3.2mm cable first and it was too thick: it was VERY difficult to pull. Even if you don't think 0.5mm would make a difference, it WORKS: This 2.7mm cable is perfect. It runs smoothly and effortlessly with no slippage. The moral of the story is that getting the correct size replacement cable is VERY important. I suspect the opposite is also true in my situation: using this when you need a 3.2mm cable causes the cable to slip. Some of the other reviews mention slides, but I suspect it's not because of the cord, it's just not the right diameter for the blind.
