They are quite wide so for our litter of Great Dane puppies I cut them all in half lengthways which meant a double mark! They're easy to write on and once put on (ease depends on how much the pup wiggles, but the strips themselves are easy) they hold up pretty well. The puppies are growing so fast that I change them every few days but they are cheap enough to be worth it. They are long enough even for giant breed puppies. (Our puppies weigh 1.2-2 pounds at birth and 18-26 pounds by 8 weeks of age)
