Review on ๐Ÿพ Pet Gear Travel Lite Bi-Fold Ramp, Safe & Portable Pet Accessory with Rubber Grippers, 42" L - Tan by Lakeisha Butler

Not for cars or SUVs

Based on the reviews I thought a 42" double fold would work. It may have worked for these reviewers, but it didn't in typical situations. I'm guessing you buy this you have a dog that needs help getting in the car. The incline is too steep for a 42 inch ramp. If you put it on a car seat, it sure gets too steep on the tailgate of an SUV. If you place it on the edge of the door, it's still very steep and too close to the open door. This product is durable and well made. It might work for you if you have a van or a low piece of furniture. You can also do it with a smaller dog that is healthy. Finally there are testers who could teach their dog to use it. All I can tell you is that I have a dog that is EXTREMELY motivated by food. He's about the size of a golden retriever and has weak hind legs. Between the steep curve and the car door, which was in the way of an already narrow ramp, he couldn't get up. We can try a longer and wider ramp to use with the back of our small SUV.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
