Great ramp for the price, durable compared to SUV

Love this pet ramp! I have a 12 year old Chesapeake Bay/Golden Retriever mix with arthritis (100 lb dog) and this ramp is great for helping her get in and out of the SUV. I only wish I had bought a longer one (triple, not double) so the angle wasn't so extreme for them, and I also wish I had bought a very wide one. Very happy with the grip the rug provides - Roxy's paws don't slip at all. Highly recommended!

BIGGEST RAMP EVER!

I have a 65-70 lb German Shepherd and just wanted to save her elbows and hips from long term injuries getting in and out of my pickup truck and also use it on my small low Honda Fit car . I've tried many types of ramps over the years and this is the best! It's all plastic so it's very light. The surface material is an oddly sling-like material that's hard to describe, but it works great for the dog. Does not slip and feels comfortable for the dog, but the dog does not scratch or damage the…

My dog can climb stairs again!

My 14 year old Maltese has not been able to get down the stairs outside our back door for over a year. He really likes looking at the door, we even made a glass door for him lol. We don't mind carrying him down the steps for potty breaks, but he couldn't look outside when we weren't home. I started researching dog ramps and found this item that will work in the small space we have for it. I just got it today (delivery only took 2 days) and my dog was very afraid of it at first, but after 15-20…

Not for cars or SUVs

Based on the reviews I thought a 42" double fold would work. It may have worked for these reviewers, but it didn't in typical situations. I'm guessing you buy this you have a dog that needs help getting in the car. The incline is too steep for a 42 inch ramp. If you put it on a car seat, it sure gets too steep on the tailgate of an SUV. If you place it on the edge of the door, it's still very steep and too close to the open door. This product is durable and well made. It might work for you if…

Great Ramp - Travel Car Accessories

This ramp could appeal to many. We got it for our 60+# husky who is now blind. I was a little concerned that it might not be long enough and too tight. After reading many reviews I felt comfortable enough to try it. I like that it's lightweight and easy to fold/handle. And it fits in the doorways of our SUVs and pickups quite snugly. After a few tries with our dog, he figured out what was going on and is now moving up and down the ramp with ease and without thinking. We'll have to guide it a…

Doesn't work Very slippery

Needed a ramp for our 13 year old 50 ib. Labradoodle who has arthritis in his hindquarters and can't jump into our Kia Sorrento SUV. When I took it out of the box it looked fine and we put it on the floor for Sarah to get used to. She avoided him for a long time, but eventually (with some persuasion and treats) tried to climb on him. However, while standing on it, she slipped on the plastic edge and fell. It was the end of that ramp for her. She didn't want to get too close to him and when we…

Excellent ramp in Dogs

First I ordered the same ramp as in the photo, collapsible, brown. "Carpet" is actually more like a non-slip marine floor. It's nice and not too scratchy but definitely gives a good grip. The rubber grips on the bottom don't look like much, but they're surprisingly effective. Although the ramp seems a bit narrow, it's actually okay. For the record, my dog is a 55-pound mix; She is very smart and a bit stubborn. I did what the other suggested and had her examine it while it was on the living…

Excellent. With some modifications

We ordered this for our 42lb dog who had back problems and didn't want him jumping if we could help it. Our dog has a chair that he likes to sit in and spend hours just staring out the window and that's why we wanted this ramp. I was concerned that the ramp would slide on our hardwood floor, but the rubber bumpers on the underside of the ramp completely prevent this. It took our dog several days of practice to use the ramp. We put barriers on the sides to make our dog feel more secure getting…

Dangerous! (Revised Review)

Picked up the ramp this morning and tested right away. I put a treat in the van and my dog (lab mix) jumped straight onto the ramp and we were on our way! I like it. UPDATE: 9/5/15 Revised from 5 stars to 3 stars. Attention danger! I originally bought this ramp for my dog to get into the van. It works great with treats. However, I also needed a ramp for the back stairs of the house. Rather than buying another ramp, I tried this one and encountered the same problem as another Pet Gear ramp (the…
