Review on ๐Ÿพ Pet Gear Travel Lite Bi-Fold Ramp, Safe & Portable Pet Accessory with Rubber Grippers, 42" L - Tan by Becky Gallegos

Excellent. With some modifications

We ordered this for our 42lb dog who had back problems and didn't want him jumping if we could help it. Our dog has a chair that he likes to sit in and spend hours just staring out the window and that's why we wanted this ramp. I was concerned that the ramp would slide on our hardwood floor, but the rubber bumpers on the underside of the ramp completely prevent this. It took our dog several days of practice to use the ramp. We put barriers on the sides to make our dog feel more secure getting on and off initially, but we removed them after about a week. I noticed my dog slipping on the carpeted ramps on the ramp going down, so she kind of panicked at the end and tried to jump the last bit instead of going all the way down. I ended up buying a Duck brand shelf insert. The link to the one I bought is at the bottom of the review. I believe the mats you put under rugs to prevent slipping will work too. I cut out the lining and used Elmer's spray adhesive to glue the lining to the carpet. This worked really well and was very secure, but I wanted to make sure the edges didn't lift up after a bit of use, so I sewed the top and bottom of each liner to the carpet. All in all it took about an hour and it works like a charm. Our dog is now slowly pacing up and down the ramp, using the entire ramp instead of trying to jump the last 4 inches or so. I will buy another one to keep in my car. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002AS9NAI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
