My 14 year old Maltese has not been able to get down the stairs outside our back door for over a year. He really likes looking at the door, we even made a glass door for him lol. We don't mind carrying him down the steps for potty breaks, but he couldn't look outside when we weren't home. I started researching dog ramps and found this item that will work in the small space we have for it. I just got it today (delivery only took 2 days) and my dog was very afraid of it at first, but after 15-20 minutes and two slices of bologna he's pacing like a champ. He still wants a treat for the meal (unfed canned green beans), but I'm sure over time he'll devour it with no reward other than looking outside whenever he wants. he uses it. I made sure it wouldn't slide off the floor with the included strap and a piece of rubber pad. I knew that if she slipped and startled him, he would never come near her again. My only regret is that I didn't order it sooner!
