Dead After A Few Months

I bought both a 2400LM and a 1200LM lamp. they have some new-fangled techno design which makes them blink on and off repeatedly before the battery completely runs out. I'd rather be surprised with the shut off than have the annoying strobe-like feature. PowerSmith made great lights that I came back for, but with all the new features added recently, I've started looking elsewhere. The other new feature, which most other brands also have (sadly) adopted is magnets on the base. I don't want the magnets and always take them off. One of the new lamps broke in the process of getting them off. PowerSmith, please don't fix what wasn't broke. I liked the lamps how they were.UPDATE: The 1200 Lumen one I bought, I've only had this thing for a few months, and it suddenly just stopped taking a charge. What little bit of charge goes in is so insignificant that the red flashing "about to die" light on the back is going no matter what, and when I try to turn it back off the on/off button is not responding. So after being stuck on for a few minutes it dies, of course. Now I'm stuck with a useless piece of junk I'll have to go through the trouble of disposing of properly, which will cost money because it's got a lithium ion battery in it.Bummer.

Pros
  • Only draw back is the battery life is short
Cons
  • One of the hinges broke as soon as I picked it up off of being stuck magneticely to my shop wall.
