Review on 🔧 Proform 66784 Valve Spring Compressor: Efficient Tool for Engine Valve Maintenance by Ryan Cross

Ideal for pulling heavy 140 lbs. Valve Springs

I'm glad I have this tool because it just compressed these 140 lb NP springs :D :D :DI I've got a pry bar, a clamp over my head and they're useless with valve springs 140 pounds. The fitting works, but it damages the seats and pushes down at a less than ideal angle, and if you're not centered you can bend the valve. The straight down valve is linear compared to the pivoting action you get with the pivot. Given the accuracy with my AFR 165cc 1402 heads and the price, I need to be specific too. I have a new camshaft and motor and it's all EFI so I really need it in the truck to test it out. I also need this in a truck to break a cam where I need to replace the springs. I'd rather not change the head gasket after the 30 minute cam break in, so I just want to pull/replace the springs while everything is in the truck ie just pull the valve covers. The only tool I have can compress 140 pounds. The springs were C-clamp style, which worked great, but the heads had to be removed. To do this I have to remove so many things including all the suction power. never mind This tool allows me to do exactly what I want and change the valve springs by simply removing the valve covers and intake manifold. And some EFI stuff, but not dragging the entire top half of the motor is doable, which again isn't bueno. I'm glad I have this tool because it just compressed these 140lb NP springs :D:D:D
