We got it for an upcoming trip to Africa/Madagascar but recently used it across Europe - 4 countries. No problem. It comes with a small carry case so we only took the adapters we needed for the trip. We expect a lot of benefit from them. We would have preferred a set with an adapter on one end and the ability to plug in a US cable on the other so we didn't have to lug around the bulk to fit the adapter. But it was useful in that it has 2 power outlets and 2 USB ports, so you can charge multiple things at the same time. There were no problems with the missing current transformer. Do not use devices that do not accept 220V. Therefore, there are usually no hair dryers. But my curling iron was marked 110/220 and worked fine. Phones charge easily even if left overnight.
