Review on Thetford 31705 Aqua Magic Toilet Assembly by Douglas Coronado

This purchase was a replacement for an R Pod toilet model 171. Thetford Aqua Magic broke just above the threaded male end connecting to the water line. The exchange works perfectly. My advice to anyone replacing this unit is to also add a faucet/toilet connection hose (preferably use one with a guaranteed leak-proof connection). I tried using a cheap one but had difficulty fitting it close to the waterline and tford. You need to buy an adapter for the water supply. In fact, this direct connection is very annoying when you repeat the original manufacturer's installation. The stress plus the rocking motion from moving the trailer and/or sitting on the toilet will cause the part to break at the threads. My other recommendation is to attach everything, the faucet/toilet connector to the plumbing and the Tford to the faucet/toilet connector before attaching it to the toilet. This way you can check for leaks before reconnecting the toilet. After making sure there are no leaks, attach the Thetford to the toilet. Finally, attach the toilet back to the floor with the nuts. It was easier for me to work this way in a small shower room.
