Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

Instead of getting a D-Link 615, I went with the much-touted TP-Link. Because I wanted the capability of the router to restrict the speed of the Internet on various devices, I chose to switch from d-link. Installation and configuration did not present any challenges for me, and I do not believe that others who have the required minimal understanding have encountered any either. In a nutshell, I began to test the speed of the Internet and was dissatisfied with the results. The maximum speed that can be achieved through a single wall is 3 Mbps. If you are in the same room as a router, then the speed is thirty megabits per second. This had nothing to do with D-Link at all. In addition, the speed of return does not decrease when operating through the wall; it transfers data to the internet at a speed of 30 Mbps. The low cost and the simplicity of the installation and configuration would be among the advantages offered by this option. But, gadgets made by other manufacturers in the same price range also possess all of these properties. Hence, in my opinion, there are no evident benefits to be gained. In conclusion, due to the fluctuating download speed when the device is further away from the router, I do not advocate using this particular gadget. It is in your best interest to investigate various different routers that are thus bold and not too bug-prone.

Pros
  • Not
Cons
  • Even going through one wall has a significant impact on the download speed.
