Review on πŸ”ͺ Enhanced Cutting Performance with Lenox Classic Bimetal Regular Positive by Jeff Rubio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Converts cheaper saws

Bought a "better" Chinese horizontal/vertical hacksaw that came without a blade. Good, because all the reviews said to get the best performance out of the OEM blade and back those machines with a good quality blade. I installed this blade and the machine worked fairly well but cut at a slight angle. I increased the tension on the blade after aligning the idlers and now this blade cuts the nuts every time. I'm a beginner welder and having this blade on my machine made cutting a simple and easy task. I run the saw slower to reduce blade heat and use a cutting compound (TRIM Cutting and Grinding Fluids SOL/1) and after reworking two old fasteners the saw feels as sharp as when it was first installed. Nothing. surpasses a high-quality commercial blade!

Pros
  • Bi-Metal for cutting carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
