Review on πŸ’» ORICO USB 3.0 Hub Clamp Adapter: Aluminum 4-port USB Splitter with Power Supply and Data Cable – Ultra-Portable USB Expander for MacBook Air, Laptop, PC by Bill Gomez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another winner from Orico

This is my 3rd purchase of an Orico product - I have previously used their transparent 2.5" SATA portable drive enclosure and their dual SATA to USB3 drive dock/ -bought a clone. Everything worked exactly as described, without The USB3 hub I received today is typical of all products I have received from this manufacturer - excellent build quality, attractive looks and above all flawless functionality without time from opening the box to connecting and using an external drive - 5 minutes The USB3.0 A-to-A cable is about 3 feet long so there is no problem connecting the port on the back of the hub to the port on my docking station at the back of my desk connect to. If you are planning on getting this item, be aware: the name of the item on Revain is a bit misleading; it says "auxiliary power supply" when in fact it is a PORT for an auxiliary power supply on the device, which is explained in the first paragraph describing the ion. This is a micro USB connector that can be connected to an external (not included) 5V power source (e.g. a phone charger) if you want to use the device as a self-powered USB hub. If you need this functionality and don't have old phone chargers and micro USB cables, you should include what you need when you place your order. Even with that minor downside, this little hub is a great deal.
