Beautiful, well made and cute knife.

Grand Sharp has done it again! I received a Kiritsuke chef's knife from this company a few months ago and I really liked it, although it was a little clunky for some jobs. This little wonder can go where other knives can't! If you're looking for a new paring knife for your kitchen, look no further. This knife is ideal for boning meat, peeling vegetables, preparing a side dish and more. The best thing about a small knife is its versatility, especially considering the strength of the material the knife is made of. VG-10 steel is the gold standard in Japanese knife making, with craftsmen such as Mr. Motosuki Nagao, a multi-generation blacksmith, using it for magnificent functional works of art. Its knives can be expensive and beyond the capacity of an average wallet, but this knife can give you the same feel for a fraction of the price. Testing 62+ on the Rockwell Scale, this knife has a beautifully smooth finish while retaining the fine layers within the blade. A solid steel shaft that not only looks good but also gives the knife more balance which improves overall handling. This steel shaft ends in a G-10 handle, which is also very strong. G10 is a fiberglass fabric that has been impregnated with resin and then pressure/heat treated to condense its strength in high-end equipment such as pistol and knife handles. The fact that mesh has been used on the inside of the grip creates a very light but useful bevel on the outer layer that offers fantastic grip even when wet. The handle is also crafted to resemble wood while being heat, water and shock resistant. The connection of the elastic handle with the blade is made of polished steel, which contributes to the balance and overall stability. Speaking of the blade, it's very sharp! I don't joke when I speak. You can use the weight of this knife to cut a lemon and it's just a small knife. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small, practical and aesthetic blade for their block.
