Review on Channellock 357 Technology High Leverage Heat Treated by Adam Taylor

Very inferior to the original 357!

Don't be fooled by the claim that this is the same as the original 357. I was outraged by this false claim and very disappointed with this new version. The original 357 was just a great plan. This new version of 357 is just worse and not a very useful or good tool. The jaws are too narrow, and the center rivet sticks out so much that it prevents the jaws from grabbing pretty much anything the original 357 was good at, like something as simple as pulling out electric suspenders. This will not work due to the rivets protruding too far and the jaws being too narrow. Also, the curvature of the jaws is such that it requires excessive rolling force to pull effectively when you actually manage to grab something with the jaws of this inferior version. I am very disappointed that I was tricked into purchasing this poor quality product due to a very misleading advertisement. I have been buying and using Channelock instruments for over 55 years and have always found them excellent instruments. But not anymore. Channellock, please return the original instruments as they were. A comparison photo of my original 357 and the new low end 357 is attached.
