Cool sensor but stopped working after a few hours of testing.

The sensor came as described but was difficult to connect. I used this with an Arduino and when I ran the test code the readings were accurate, but after a few hours of testing I was only getting high readings even when pointing away from human IR signatures. I tried to use it as a test for an automatic light switch I was building but ended up not being able to implement the function. All in all a good item to play with, but maybe not as durable/convenient as something more reliable or expensive.
