Works great - desktop barebones

After I hooked it up properly and entered the code correctly, it works as advertised. I use it to trigger a Pi Camera when motion is detected and it works great.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Does what it says on the tin: computers and accessories

I bought this to make a motion activated magic mirror. It worked with my Pi 3B+ and was easy to plug in and get started. I used a breadboard to connect to the Pi using the M->F jumpers.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Cool sensor but stopped working after a few hours of testing.

The sensor came as described but was difficult to use. I've used this with an Arduino and when I ran the test code the readings were accurate, but after a few hours of testing I was only getting high readings even when pointing away from human IR signatures. I tried to use it as a test for an automatic light switch I was building but ended up not being able to implement the function. All in all a good item to play with, but maybe not as durable/comfortable as something more reliable or…

  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing here

Works well Desktop Barebones

More than I expected. I thought it was about the same size as my SmartThings motion sensors, but it's a lot bigger. Seems to work pretty well with my Pi3. For some reason it's less reliable when I connect it to Pi Zero. Not sure why. I usually use my Pi3 for setup as it's much faster and the remote desktop is faster, and when I'm done I pop the microSD into the Pizero and transfer the hardware. Works great with everything except this motion sensor. Often dims when nothing happens even though…

Pretty good motion sensor

I gave it 5 stars but it's not what I would call professional. They work really well and I would order them again. You have to keep in mind that they don't cost nearly as much as professional motion sensors either.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not as sensitive as described.

Very disappointed with range. I have to wave my hand about a foot in front of him to make him fly up. Sensitivity is set to full. Maybe this one is defective, but I'm not sure I'll try the other one. On the other hand, it is a simple application with sufficient documentation. It arrived on time and was neatly packaged.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • No instructions
