I expected it to be much better than it is. It looks pretty good up on the tree, but up close it looks a bit cheap and less stylish than I expected. The glitter on it is very fluffy, be prepared for all your hands to be glittery while holding the star. The wire with balls and decorations has free ends at the top of the star. I either have to roll them up or cut them off because that adds to the cheapness. It runs on 3 AA batteries that fit into a small white battery compartment. You press a button to turn it on or off and choose lighting modes. It would be a lot easier if it was powered by a cord that could be plugged into my Christmas lights so they could be turned on and off without any extra work. Not to mention the large battery compartment that catches the eye. I was able to push it into the back of the tree, but you can't see it. The star is much bigger than I expected. I have a 7 foot tree and it almost reaches the ceiling. Overall it's well priced and looks pretty good when it's up in a tree and you're not looking at it up close.
