I'm a person who believes in doing thorough research on products before buying. Before I bought anything I researched all the options available in the market, how they work, their differences, pros and cons, reviews and then selected the end product that fits my needs. After that, I also check prices to find out where I can buy cheaper, but I don't buy from unfamiliar websites. One day while I was about to visit my grocery store, I noticed a low tire pressure warning on my dashboard. I checked and found that one of the tires was pretty flat. It was not at all pleasant for me to even drive to the nearest gas station to inflate a tire. Then I felt the need to inflate tires. Also, I love to travel and travel almost every month. Inflating the tires will come in handy when I'm on the road. My requirement was a very well rated tire inflator that runs off my car's 12v power supply and is fast - shouldn't take more than 3-4 minutes. a tire. I didn't want one that runs on car batteries as it was awkward for me to open the hood and temper something there. The socket in my car is 12V/10A. I've tried looking everywhere but haven't been able to find a satisfactorily verified tire inflator that will run from a 12v car outlet rated less than 10 amps. Also, I realized that inflators powered by a 12v cigarette lighter would be slow. So I ended up considering using one that runs on batteries with a lot of skepticism. I bought this product because it had great reviews and a great price. Below I note the features of this product: Used with what car: I used this inflator on my 2013 Hyundai Accent which requires 32psi. Filling noise: I would say it's quite loud. To give an idea, let's say if you turn on the music in your car while standing outside the car, you would turn it up louder than the sound this device makes. So, in principle, this device does not make any noise that is louder than the volume at which you listen to music. Also, I have street parking and that's where I use this device so the sound doesn't bother me at all. Product Dimensions: The box is the length and width of a 15 inch laptop. The height should be around 4-5 inches. It is not very heavy, with a suitcase it can easily be carried over a long distance. We always keep it in the trunk, so you don't have to carry it as such. INCLUDED: It comes with a suitcase-style black box for easy and safe storage. It includes everything you need to inflate a car tire - pump, battery connectors, pump-to-tire connector, built-in pressure gauge (not very accurate, see next section), has a built-in flashlight, and also comes with various nozzle sizes that can be used to inflate toys, a beach ball, etc. Pressure Gauge Accuracy: I've compared the pressure displayed by the built in pressure gauge with multiple sources (gas stations, chums) and found that it's not entirely accurate. I use a TireTek tire pressure sensor. It's pretty accurate. The built-in pressure gauge shows 2 points higher than the actual one. I only use the built in as a reference when inflating my tires and then adjusting the pressure with a TireTek gauge. EASY TO CONNECT: While I was initially skeptical about using a car battery tire inflator, I found it dead simple. use if i tried. Follow the instructions that come with this tire inflator and open the hood according to your car's owner's manual. Be sure to connect the red clamp to the positive of the car battery and the black to the negative. Always cut the red end first and then the black end. Swap on erase - erase the black first, then erase the red. There can only be one problem with using it. Although the cable connecting the device and the tires is quite long, the cable connecting the car battery and the device is not very long and you need to hold the device close to the hood. Since the on/off button is on the device itself, using it with the rear wheel is problematic as you have to get close to the device to turn it on/off. My wife and I usually use it together so it's not a problem for us. Price I bought it for: $56.40
