I broke a factory antenna when I forgot to take it off at the car wash. That's the main reason why I wanted to replace the factory antenna with a smaller flexible one. So far it works great. I turned on the radio and checked the 3 channels I'm listening to, reception was normal. 2 channels were good but the 3rd was bad (it gets better depending on where you are, time of day etc). When removing the standard antenna, 2 channels fell out almost completely, and the 3rd completely out. After I replaced the factory antenna with this smaller one, the reception on all 3 channels was again of the same quality as with the factory antenna. 2 stations is good, 1 is bad. As far as I can tell, the reception is just as good as with the factory antenna.
