I am a proponent of open trade. However, some products made in the US, or the West in general, tend to be of higher quality (particularly plastics and stainless steel). This is one of those products. When I opened the box, I wondered what I got for my $20+. I was hoping for a bypass valve but installed a block when none was there. I believe the valve is not missed as there is more than enough pressure. In addition, the PVC cable to the device seems to be of very good quality. The price is a bit high in my opinion, but I would definitely buy it again.
