Review on πŸ”˜ Compact Master Cylinder with 0.625" Bore - Wilwood 260-6087 by David Blackstock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the ideal hole size for a stock hydraulic (hydraulic handbrake).

This is the ideal bore size for stock hydraulics (hydraulic handbrake) and even larger (Z32) for S (240SX) chassis. I've used and built many setups and tried the 3/4" bore that parts store Max is happy to sell with them and while it worked fine on my s14 with stock rear wheels it didn't work at all, even on a brand new rebuild . Brake calipers on another S13 for my teammate. If you want more travel and a much softer feel while still having a much better bite and friction surface, the 5/8" is the way to go. Honestly, it's amazing how much better it feels when They run 3/4" during the day...and at night The theory is less volume and more pressure (yes I'm sure you all know) but I'm just repeating it because I like my hydraulic system so much now, prefer it I usually feel the cable brake but I need consistency and higher hydraulic mount. Here it is definitely. There is no need to use a dual saddle setup unless you are using the Pro Am or FD series which require this line with no issues. No judder, no hard solid wall feel, just a good durable lock down with a comfortable one Tension that allows the pressure to be adjusted I have never liked the hydraulic installation more oval than 5/8 inch on all I have installed. Much luck!

Pros
  • Braking System
Cons
  • Good but not great
