Excellent product as pictured

This was a great product, delivered quickly to my home via UPS. Definitely not a fake solid build great for my drift car. Therefore, it is often used when you need a hydraulic brake and you are looking for a master cylinder that is suitable for it.

Pros
  • good item
Cons
  • doubtful

Suitable for hydraulic hand brakes.

I bought this to replace cheap master cylinders sold on ebay. I had to replace the threaded rod with a regular one, but the levers are to blame, not the master cylinder. It's binding the rear disc brakes on my battered Monte Carlo G body. In case anyone wants to turn a 3500lb car into a drifter. (Why did I do that?)

Pros
  • Master cylinder and parts
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Return spring too soft or binds when modulating

For some reason the return seems very sticky when modulating as sometimes the friction in the cylinder overcomes the return spring. I returned it and got a new one with the same problem, definitely a stacking problem or something. I use it as a master to install a hydraulic handbrake, it works to build and hold pressure, that's just a problem. Now that the system is double pumped and double mounted I'm happy with the solution to this small issue.

Pros
  • Master Cylinder
Cons
  • Modern

This is the ideal hole size for a stock hydraulic (hydraulic handbrake).

This is the ideal bore size for stock hydraulics (hydraulic handbrake) and even larger (Z32) for S (240SX) chassis. I've used and built many setups and tried the 3/4" bore that parts store Max is happy to sell with them and while it worked fine on my s14 with stock rear wheels it didn't work at all, even on a brand new rebuild . Brake calipers on another S13 for my teammate. If you want more travel and a much softer feel while still having a much better bite and friction surface, the 5/8" is…

Pros
  • Braking System
Cons
  • Good but not great
