I have a pair of Aeroplex (bone conduction) and my problem is that they dampen high frequencies. (I compensate for this with my EQ by adding more treble). When I put them on they felt exactly the same but the delivery was different making the sound completely different. The sound quality compared to my $160 AfterShokz is on par with a few differences. Out of the box they sounded very bright (almost tinny), but I was able to adjust the equalizer on my phone to get the exact sound I like. Compared to my Bose Tempos, the comparison is not so favorable. . Bose is way better in every way, but I paid ten times the money for it. However, it was interesting to test them side by side. The Bose is simply richer, deeper and generally better at covering the audio range. I don't blame these headphones for this comparison. For the price, these headphones do the trick. I can't even wear my Tempos at night! The headphones are very comfortable and very easy to use. There is one button that controls all functions. This means that you have to control the volume using the phone controls. never mind. You still have an open ear (but no bone conduction) so you can hear everything around you. They are not suitable for motorcycle use (which I like to do). With bone conduction, you can literally put in earbuds and block out ambient noise, but still hear headphones (it's a very strange concept, but it works). They came out of the box fully charged (thanks!). I've had them for most of today and they still have over 50% charge. The connection with my phone was very easy and there were no problems. Reconnecting was just as easy. All in all, these are great headphones.
