I bought this to use on my machine quilt templates. They skimmed the fabric and caused imperfect seams. Before buying this I tried out the little circles that should provide grip on the bottom of your rulers. They didn't work. I also tried the masking tape that came with several quilt templates. It also didn't work and I couldn't get close enough to all of my templates. After researching I came across this product. I cut strips that are 1/4" wide and then cut them into 1/2" pieces and attach two to each ruler/template. I love it! I never slipped. I even replaced the knobs on my rulers with two pieces to keep the rulers from wobbling. This is by far the best product I have found and a lot cheaper! I also have enough to share with fifty of my closest quilting friends, with more to come. 😊
