I wanted this product to cut the silicone seal for my casement windows so I could replace the fogged glass. Last time it tried to do this with a 3" drywall knife and a razor blade and it took hours and I still had to break the glass to get at some of the silicone. I tried this on one window and it seemed to work great. Cannot speak to long term durability because I only did one window so far. Great price, the 10 pack was priced the same as a single blade at home depot
