Tea particles fit through holes
I bought this strainer for tea and ground coffee. The holes are small enough for a metal filter, but not small enough. Especially the holes at the top. They appear to be slightly larger holes. I love to cook yerba mate and I don't like pollen in my throat. Coffee filters filter most pollen and leaves well. This metal screen does not filter out pollen. It is also not suitable for medium and fine ground coffee. I drink Peet's and the coffee grounds seep right through the metal strainer.
