Review on AMD Ryzen 7 3800X Processor: Unlocked 8-Core CPU with Wraith Prism Cooler for Powerful Desktop Performance by Wiktor Pozna ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

I'm tired of fighting with automation and PBO, I have a simple scythe kotetsu cooler, it just does not have time to remove heat from this stone - the radiator is cold, and the sensor shows more than 90 degrees in overclocking (there are no problems with pressure and thermal paste). I don’t recommend it for those who like to pick and configure on their own, as a result, I changed it with a surcharge to ryzen 7 2700

Pros
  • Performance out of the box. The memory controller and Infiniti Fabrik keep stable 3800\1900 MHz
Cons
  • The specific heat dissipation of the new 7nm chips is a nightmare. you need top air or at least top-end dropsy 280 AIO. There is no acceleration: in auto mode up to 4450 (for me), in manual mode, only 4300 or 4400 are completely stable with a stretch. In Auto with a load on all cores 3900 (the voltage exceeds 1.4).
