Only for those who want a wide angle prime lens for astro or night sky photography. I only bought this lens a few weeks ago and have used it on my Canon 6D primarily for star photography. The build quality of the Sigma 24mm lens is excellent. The infinity focus guide is very accurate, at least for the one I own. AF works smoothly and quietly (didn't check at night, I only use MF and Live View by the Stars). At the maximum aperture of F1.4, vignetting is obvious and still visible, but acceptable at F2.8, as is the stellar coma in the corners. But everyone went and stopped at F4. Impressively sharp from the center to the edges. I compared the Sigma 24mm lens to its competitor, the Samyang or Rokinon 24mm, which are considered the best for astrophotography, particularly for their unparalleled control over coma aberration, and found the Samyang to be honest performs better. for this purpose than the Sigma, but unfortunately at the expense of loss of sharpness. Ultimately, I would definitely recommend this lens to anyone looking for a wide-angle prime lens for night photography.
