Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

I never wrote any reviews, but while I'm under the impression, maybe it will help someone . I shot on both 28mm 1.8G and 24mm 1.4G (I rented the latter). 24mm 1.4G is certainly good, but today's price is unreasonably high. I had 28mm 1.8G for almost 2 years, I have no complaints about it, but I didn’t have enough air in the frame and volume due to the larger aperture. I began to look at sigma for a long time, but some reviews about inaccurate autofocus scared me. It turns out that these are all

    Pros
    • - Awesome drawing - Signature Sigma "oiliness" and contrast of the ART series - Aperture definitely - Fast autofocus
    Cons
    • - It's a little heavy, but you hold it and feel it - a "thing" :). - Rarely, but there are misses.

as good as the legendary 24mm

Not quite in the same league as the kind 35mm and 50mm lenses. No worse than the iconic Canon 24mm, though. I am a professional photographer and I demand the best, I will not be disappointed. Focusing isn't the fastest, especially at full range. Another point: creamy bokeh is a pleasure. The first photo taken by the camera is attached, it gives an idea of the bokeh. Hands-free shot with the D810 wide open. love the results

Grab it sharp. Focuses VERY quickly. It's really adorable.

This lens amazes me every time I use it. I won't go into the technical stuff but every time I put this on my camera (Nikon D750) after using Nikon lenses I still have to double check once the focus is locked. It's SO FAST! Faster than any of my Nikon lenses. It's very sharp and so good for wide angle shots when I'm shooting weddings. If you're vacillating between 24-70 and just this Prime, go for Prime! You will not regret it!

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LENS

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LENS! However, my 3 star rating does not apply to the company that sent me the lens, they were an amazing 5 stars. The reason I'm giving this three stars is because the lens was very soft when I received it. I feel that as a very reputable company, Sigma should be able to focus their lenses and not blur them. I had to order and update the USB document to have it in focus. After the upgrade it was clear like every other Canon L-series I have used or have used. But I don't…

    Great for astrophotography

My new favorite lens. I think I should sell my 14mm Sigma. I like it better than the 14mm for astrophotography and landscape photography that I mostly shoot with. The 24mm lens weighs less, uses standard 77mm filters, has excellent edge sharpness with low distortion and a larger aperture. The 14mm lens uses a dedicated 150mm filter plate adapter, which is bulky, has severe edge distortion, and is almost twice the weight and expensive of the 24mm lens. The only downside to a 24mm lens is that it

    Another fabulous lens Sigma ART

I confess I was a lens snob for many years (first Canon, then Nikon). However, with this latest addition to Sigma ART 24 1.4, I've found that I have a set of primes for all Sigmas (24, 50, and 85), not necessarily because they're cheaper, but because they're BETTER (or at least as good) . A little nervous about several reviews mentioning focus issues but despite having a USB dock my first impressions (of the D850) are that this lens focuses well at short and long distances, no adjustments…

Do you like very sharp lenses?

This lens. It doesn't disappoint. My first Sigma Art lens was the 50 1.4 and I fell in love with it immediately. I can shoot entire engagement sessions and most of the wedding day with this thing. I have a Nikon 24-70 2.8 which I love but needed a sharper primer for my wide angle shots. This led me to the Sigma 24 1.4 Art. Easily one of my favorite lenses I've ever used. Perfect for many things but I mostly use it on wedding days to get wide angle shots. I also use it for real estate…

    Great lens for astrophotography.

Only for those who want a wide angle prime lens for astro or night sky photography. I only bought this lens a few weeks ago and have used it on my Canon 6D primarily for star photography. The build quality of the Sigma 24mm lens is excellent. The infinity focus guide is very accurate, at least for the one I own. AF works smoothly and quietly (didn't check at night, I only use MF and Live View by the Stars). At the maximum aperture of F1.4, vignetting is obvious and still visible, but acceptable

    Pros
    • New to my collection

    Fantastic portraits in low light!

I bought this lens mainly because of the focal length and f/1.4 aperture, but in the end I was really surprised by the quality of the optics. Also wide open it is very sharp. Of course, the edges lose some of that sharpness, but it's barely noticeable unless you delve deep into the pixels. Turn it down a bit and it might be the sharpest lens I've ever used, damn good stuff. And the depth of field is silky smooth, I love the dreamy watercolor backgrounds this lens can create. what the lens…

Almost five stars but inconsistent focus

Almost 5 stars The Sigma 24mm f1.4 Art is a superb lens, sharp and well built. I also have Art 20mm f1.4 and 14mm f1.8 lenses. In my experience, you should definitely have a Sigma USB Dock. None of these three lenses focused right out of the box, and the 20mm was the worst of the three. And you really need a focus target like LensAlign or something like that. In my experience, Sigma Art lenses aren't really calibrated to a standard, so it's important to use the Sigma optimization software and…

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

chic professional glass for those who understand photography regular 24-70 2.8 no matter tamron / sigma or native nikon - just aside sigma 24mm 1.4 gives an airy and three-dimensional picture, with good contrast. after SUCH glass it is very difficult to shoot on anything else, because the quality of other glasses simply hurts the eye. if a stabilizer and all-weather protection were added to it, then it would be an almost perfect staffer for ff and the most perfect 35mm for crop - but this is…

    Pros
    • - luminosity - compactness and weight - price relative to native Nikkor 24mm f1.4 - fully working 1.4 - minimal HA tending to 0
    Cons
    • - rarely, but smears. - no image stabilizer like in Tamron - but it's more of a nitpick
