This portable kettle is a great concept on paper and in the picture. HOWEVER some design changes are needed to make it reliable. First, the detachable handle is locked with a tiny latch, and if you move it slightly without holding the latch at the bottom, the whole thing gets lost and hot water can splash everywhere. Of course, if you're careful you'll never see this problem, but if you've overstuffed a little at least once and tried to stop cooking and turn it off, you'll run into this problem. Second, the included case doesn't hold up the folded device well with a thick power cord. The power cord may not be flexible enough to roll into an organized shape for packing. This is another potential for redesign/improvement. However, I really like the portability.
