Bought 2 of these for use in a small yacht. The 10-by-9-foot cab could barely maintain a temperature of 65 degrees with constant work in an outside temperature of around 50 and circulation fans running. I need them for use in the winter months to keep the boat around 50 degrees. 700 watts are not enough. There is no automatic shutdown if the device tips over. They are hot to the touch, but you have to hold them to burn yourself. May not be suitable for use around young children. And certainly not within 4 inches of any combustible material on the sides. It can be safely installed on a cabinet or floor as the legs provide the necessary clearance. Gave them back.
