Nice but cheaply made

I thought it was really nice and soft when it arrived. I was excited to give this special gift I'm giving and knitted this cute pumpkin, but when I cut off the end of the yarn to knit it it just unraveled and wouldn't stop. I wrote to the seller but received no reply. Will buy again and hope for a refund.
