Great lens but lighting issues [READ]

I was a bit sad to return it because the quality was actually decent. Pros: The lens was fantastic, sharp, anti-fog, with good magnification and all-metal construction. Stable arm with a large range of motion and metal table clamp. My problem was the lighting and how I wanted to use it for video recording. 1) Unreliable switch: The switch controlling on/off, intensity and tint was often unresponsive. You could spam a button by pressing hard and soft and nothing would change, but sometimes it worked just fine. It was frustrating to sit and not be able to turn the light on or even off when I was done. 2) The light will be HOT! Maybe it was a defect of mine, but I mean very hot, for example don't touch the bottom of the lamp, which you pretty much have to do to move it. 3) flicker. The flicker is imperceptible to the eye, but when shooting video in such lighting, the flicker could be seen in the form of horizontal light and dark stripes, slowly panning the shot. This is due to the frame rate of the image sensor and the flicker frequency of the light and was very noticeable in this particular light. (No problem with my current magnifying lamp.) Overall a decent lamp that I would recommend with good lighting. Buy one if you're willing to risk a potentially unreliable switch and don't mind burning fingerprints when handling the lamp. Avoid if you need a mechanical switch or want to record videos.
