Review on 💡 Canbus LED Bulbs for Reverse Backup Lights - Error Free, Super Bright, 9-30V, 2200 Lumens, 3056 3156 3057 3157 T25 Compatible, 6500K, Plug & Play by Ben Demers

This review is based on the 921 variant in the 2018 Honda Accord. The promised brightness of 2100 lumens per bulb (!) seemed crazy enough to try. I think they work, but next to the (very bright) 1000 lumen turn signals, they seem to be similarly bright (despite the amber color of the turn signals). It specifically lists 2100 lumens per bulb (although some listings list the light output of a set of two), so maybe that's the way it's measured? Also note a few things. While the 921 socket fits the electrical contacts in the car, and in this case it fits the 2018 Honda Accord, it alone does not guarantee that you will be able to fit these bulbs without problems as the shape is so different. Basically, a rubber grommet instead of a socket allows these lamps to fit different cars, the difference being the cord extension that plugs into the car socket. The latter becomes the plug, since there is a lamp sleeve in the reflector instead. This may not be the most elegant solution, but it is practical. In my case (Accord 2018) the reversing lights are in the trunklid and sliding the trim away is as easy as removing a rivet and peeling it off. Technically, removing the rivet could be omitted, but Honda has a little surprise in store for the unsuspecting intruder. Next to the outlet is a plastic wall that may be unique to a particular vehicle. (See pictures) It may make sense to protect the socket and cord, but for these unusual lamps they are a hindrance. It is necessary to remove part of the protective cover to attach the large lamp heatsink and install the rubber grommet. sit down properly. It's not that heavy since the guard is plastic, but the promised bright light won't come into play if you're not comfortable with this type of mod. Once there is enough space for the heatsink, the bulbs will fit in either orientation, and that's debatable. so soothing. Doubtful as there is no guarantee that the lamps will be properly aligned or that the chosen alignment will be maintained. The advantage can be that you can choose the most efficient alignment depending on the shape of your reflector. In the Accord it seems advantageous to orient the light bulbs as shown in the diagram (figure). After installation, the bulbs shine really brightly, but not immediately. The curious start-up phase lasts one to two seconds until the maximum brightness is reached. In a way it is similar to HID xenon bulbs. Since this is about 2 seconds, this is not unbearable, but seems out of place with LEDs. It seemed intentional at first, but if you turn it off and on again after a few seconds, it resumes at full brightness. almost as if they had to keep warm. Again, this can help viewers "get used to" the brightness in normal use. The light itself is slightly bluish but bright white overall. In addition to "extreme" brightness, this usually means improved night vision.
