After a little use of this kit the charge controller seems to be working as it should but the solar is a bit poor. I use this kit with a small SLA 12V battery for a trail camera. The camera doesn't need much unless it's taking a lot of pictures. Needless to say the battery died after 3 weeks in the woods. After some testing with the solar panel in direct sunlight it outputs 21V which is great and normal but with anything else like the sun behind a cloud or just a panel in the shade the voltage drops to 6-8V. It works so excellent in open areas. But if your needs are in a partially shaded area, I wouldn't recommend this panel.
