These trivets are thick, sturdy, and a good size for setting your hot pots and pans on and not worrying about burning the table. I like the intricate designs, they feel classy and interesting compared to just, like, a flat square.However the description claims "multi-use" but given that its' not solid material, I would not attempt to use these as hand protectors for gripping hot handles. You're just asking to get your hands burned.They're also too large/thick, with not enough surface area, to use as jar openers or whatever.So as decorative trivets? Thumbs up. But if you want something that's multi use, this is not the one.
