Whistling at engine speed - internal bearing problem

Let me start by saying that I have read other negative reviews but decided to roll the dice in the hope that they came from another party. . The MFG date on the pump I received is 3/10/17. I replaced the pump assembly on my truck because it was leaking at the gasket between the reservoir and the pump. I removed the old pump assembly and installed this. Filled with liquid and pumped, turn the wheels from left to right several times. added liquid. Then started and checked the fluid level. It looked fine, so I turned off the engine and checked the fluid again. Then I did a test drive. Not a mile from home he started whining. Stopped the truck and checked the fluid again. Still full. The howl is RPM related, not cornering related. Clearly an internal storage problem. I got Cardone Reman from Napa and installed it. There are no problems with the recovery unit. A parts specialist at NAPA told me that non-retail Cardone parts are MFGs with inferior components. I can neither confirm nor deny his claims. He explained that this was due to the deal Cardones made. The NAPA contract requires the use of high quality seals/bearings etc in any parts they sell outside of their stores. I bought leaky remanufactured Cardone transmissions in Napa so not sure how credible these claims are. Thought I'd share anyway. I've been in the auto business for 20 years.
