No claim for speed.

Not the speed they claim. Maximum 250 mb/s incoming and 300 mb/s incoming. I'm using a fiber optic connection (1 Gbps down / 1 Gbps down) and of course I'm connected at 5 GHz. The router is 2 feet away from me (ASUS AC 5300).
