Over $600 saved! on ball bearings

I bought two of these for my 04 Dodge Durango 5.7 AWD after the shop refused to align sloppy ball joints. They wanted to replace them and install them for almost $700. I installed them myself and while it wasn't easy, I saved hundreds of dollars. The original ball joints have a ring welded on top and a wishbone that must be removed before you can press the original. The easiest I did was with an air compressor, an air hammer, and a flat hammer chisel. It takes a little effort, but this ring comes off instantly and you can push the ring out. Second, when installing a new ball joint, make sure you remove the rubber boot before inserting the ball joint into the frame. The press will not damage the ball joint, but if you exit the rubber boot you risk damaging the boot. It is better to remove and install them after the ball joint is attached. One last tip, watch the ball joint as you push it to make sure it goes straight. The best way to get it moving straight is to tap the ball joint press lightly with a hammer in any direction. It worked better than anything else I had tried and once it was about 1/4 of the way it continued to stay straight. Another thought: it was worth doing the brakes at the same time, I hope this all helps!
